Hello Everyone, and welcome to my humble web page. My name is Tena, I'm 34 years old, from Ohio, USA. I am so glad you stopped in for a visit! I really enjoy company. Well you are probably wondering what kind of person I am. Well I am just normal country girl with a big heart. Though some people think I am not quite normal. I am a stay at home mom,I home school two very active boys. When I am not doing that, or chores, I am outside digging in the dirt weather permitting of course. Why am I digging? Well several reasons, I put in lilyponds or improve upon them constantly, putting in new flower beds, which means that I must have flowers and bulbs to plant. I grow as much as I can my self from seed, some I start indoors, and some in the seasonal greenhouse when I can get my family out there to get their things out of it. I have to reclaim my greenhouse every spring! What a chore! I can't wait until we have the funds to build a garage! Then the family won't have any excuses for "borrowing" my greenhouse. But after shewing the last of them out, I start planting like crazy! I always grow more than I can get planted before everything gets pot bound or I run out of steam so a lot of what I grow I always share with my friends. I also swap seeds, plants, tips ect with good friends. I have made many good friends that way. I also enjoy spending time with my baby ferret, Snowflake. She is an albino ferret. She is so loveable! She will steal your heart, she steals everyones heart who stops by. They all want to take her home. Snowflake has a companion to play with, of course another ferret. He was the first in our home, his name is Pinky. He is my husbands little male ferret. He too is very loveable. And if you are wondering do they bite, because of the stories you might have heard of ferrets. The answer is no. I ferrets have been spoiled since we got them and biting was never permitted. They were broken of the biting with in a few weeks. I enjoy getting letters from anyone who shares my interests. I have many pen pals already, sometimes I have a little trouble keeping up with the letter writing, but I manage to keep on top of it. One can never have enough friends. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

I am happily re-married after being a widow for 5 years. My husband Chet is a semi driver. We are fortunate that he is able to come home every night. He is a very loving and kind person, he also is very handy. I don't think there isn't any thing he can't build or fix. If I need something built, I just tell him what I want and he makes it. He is always doing nice things for me. What a blessed wife I am to have him. He said he fell for me because of my lilyponds, now he does a lot of work with me on the ponds. He really want's to go big with it, but not sure our wallet is as big as his head is. I have two very active boys at home that always keep me on my toes. Justin is 12, and loves to fish every chance he gets, likes camping, hunting for indian artifacts, writing his pen pals on the net, computer games, and teasing the daylights out of his younger brother. Nathan, the younger brother, is 10, he like his trampoline, computer games, legos and rubbing mom's shoulders. Don't laugh, he is very good at it, as a matter a fact, he gets an allowance for rubbing my overworked shoulders. Hey, it keeps me out of the Chiropractor's office. Besides he says he likes doing it. He likes getting email, but he doesn't get much yet, he just can't seem to find a steady pen pal! What do I do to relax, take a walk around the lake we live near, work in the flower beds, lilypond, greenhouse, bubble bath, hot tub, watch a good comedy movie with the family, and an occasional board or card game, and visiting with my friends. | Update 2/23/99 Hello everyone! Are you as anxious for spring as I am? I have been busy pouring over seed/plant catalogs! How about you? I have a list a mile long, but I don't think my wallet is as big as my list! :o( Not to worry though, what I don't get this year, I can always get next year! I love to swap seed with other gardeners! So if you are interested, please, contact me soon! I would love to hear from someone who might have red iris seed, yellow iris seed.
